The National Bureau of Statistics price watch report for March 2022 shows that the average price per litre paid by consumers to purchase Kerosene(NHK) across the 36 states in Nigeria including the FCT for March 2022 was 564.55 naira per litre. This is an increase of 56.26 per cent over the March 2021 price of 361.29 naira per litre. The average price of the Kerosene has had an upward trend in the past year but it hit the highest price point in March 2022 at 564.55 naira. NHK had a month-on-month increase of 27.25% from 355.80 naira in February 2022.
Furthermore, the report shows that Southwest has the highest average retailers price of NHK at 623.49 naira per litre and Northwest has the lowest average retailers price of 502.50 naira per litre.
