According to World Bank data on Nigeria’s crude death rate, defined as the ratio of the number of deaths during the year to the average population in that year, has reduced from 14.7 in 2010 to 11.4 2020. The crude death rate value is presented as the number of deaths per year per 1000 people.
In 2020 there were 11.4 deaths per 1000 inhabitants. 2019 Data from Statista showed the main causes of deaths in Nigeria are neonatal disorders, malaria, diarrheal diseases and lower respiratory infections.
