#ChartOfTheDay: Nigerian States with the Highest Unemployment Rates in 2020

These 10 states recorded the highest unemployment rates in 2020 and contribute the most to Nigeria’s total unemployment rate, which stood at 33.3% in 2020, the highest in the last 13 years.

Yesterday, Dataphyte published the 10 states in Nigeria with the lowest unemployment rate; which is a combination of those who worked less than 20 hours a week and those who did not work at all.

With the exception of Cross River which was recently excluded from the 13% oil derivation given to oil-producing states, Imo and Akwa-Ibom which are beneficiaries of this 13% oil derivation are among the states with the highest unemployment rate.
