The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) report on the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Price Watch for October 2021 reveals that there was a 34.61% month-on-month change in the price of cooking gas and a 34.51% year-on-year price change.
The cost of refilling a 5kg cylinder increased from 1,953.71 naira in October 2020 to 2627.94 naira in October 2021.
Abuja(N3,450), Anambra(N3,275), Zamfara(N3,200) were the states with the highest average price of refilling a 5kg cylinder. On the other hand, Lagos(N2,004.55), Abia(N2,040.45), and Delta(N1,987.75) had the lowest average price for refilling a 5kg cylinder with cooking gas.
